Where to Find Your Invoices
To access your invoices:
Navigate to the Billing tab on the left-hand menu.
Select the Invoices tab at the top of the page.
Once an invoice has been generated, you’ll see it listed here with details such as:
Date: When the invoice was created
Status: Paid or Pending
Timesheets: The number of signed timesheets billed
Estimated Pay: Total value of approved shifts
Platform Cost: The 2% ShiftNest service fee
If no invoices are displayed, you’re either still in your free trial or no billable timesheets have been approved yet.
“No invoices found for this period” simply means billing hasn’t started - invoices will automatically appear once your trial ends and your first invoice is generated.
Downloading Your Invoice
Invoices can only be viewed and downloaded from this page.
Once an invoice is generated, a download icon will appear next to it.
Click the icon to download your invoice as a PDF.
Each downloaded invoice contains a summary of your organisation’s platform fee, total billed income, and corresponding timesheets.
When Invoices Are Generated
Invoices are automatically created at the start of each calendar month and cover all approved and signed timesheets from the previous month.
For example:
Shifts approved in November appear in your December invoice.
You can use the date selector at the top right of the Billing page to view invoices from other months.
Notes and Tips
Invoices are only available in the Billing → Invoices tab — they can’t be viewed elsewhere in the dashboard.
You’ll be able to download an invoice once one has been generated for your organisation.
If your Automatic Payments are turned on, the system will automatically mark invoices as paid.
All invoice and payment information is securely stored under ShiftNest’s Cyber Security Certification.
