Customising notifications preferences

You can manage how and where you receive ShiftNest notifications directly from your Profile settings. These preferences let you choose between email, SMS, or WhatsApp (coming soon) for shift updates and important account alerts.

Where to find it

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

  2. Select Profile.

  3. Under Notification Preferences, choose your preferred options.


Available notification channels

  • Email notifications: Receive shift updates, timesheet reminders, and announcements via email.

  • SMS notifications: Get instant alerts and messages directly to your phone via text.

  • WhatsApp notifications (Coming soon): Stay updated through WhatsApp when available.

To update your email or password

If you need to change the email address used for notifications:

  1. Go to Profile → Security.

  2. Under Change Email, enter your new address and click Update Email.

  3. A confirmation email will be sent to verify your new address.


To update your password, use the Change Password section on the same page.


Recommended setups

  • Agencies: Enable both email and SMS for real-time shift and timesheet updates.

  • Facilities: Keep email active for worker assignment and approval alerts.

  • Shift workers: Enable email for confirmations and SMS for shift reminders.

Troubleshooting

If notifications aren’t arriving:

  • Double-check that the correct email or phone number is saved in your Profile.

  • Make sure Update Profile was clicked after changing preferences.

  • For further enquiries, please contact relevant parties for additional information.
