Accepting or Declining Shifts

Shift workers can easily view, review, and respond to shift offers directly from their dashboard. You can accept new shifts, decline those that do not fit your schedule, and even request cancellation for shifts you’ve already accepted if necessary.

Viewing Available Shifts

  1. Go to the Shifts tab on your dashboard.

  2. At the top of the page, you’ll see two sections:

    • Your Shifts: Displays all confirmed or assigned shifts.

    • Available Shifts: Shows open shifts that have not yet been assigned.

  3. Review each available shift card to see:

    • Facility name and role

    • Shift date and duration

    • Hourly rate

    • Status (regular or emergency – emergency shifts appear in red)

You can browse all unassigned shifts here to find opportunities that suit your preferences and schedule.


Reviewing and Responding to a Shift Offer

  1. Click the arrow icon (→) next to a shift to open the Review Shift window.

  2. Check all the details carefully, including:

    • Facility and agency name

    • Role and hourly rate

    • Total working hours and break time

    • Date and shift duration

  3. After reviewing, choose one of the following actions:

    • Accept – Confirm that you’ll attend the shift.

    • Decline – If the shift doesn’t suit your schedule, decline it to allow the agency to reassign it.


Once accepted, the shift will move to Your Shifts under your dashboard, and the facility will be able to see you as the "sent" meaning worker assigned.


Requesting a Cancellation

If you’ve already accepted a shift but can no longer attend:

  1. Go to the Your Shifts tab.

  2. Click the shift you want to cancel.

  3. Select Request Cancellation.

A cancellation request will be sent automatically to your agency, who will handle reallocating a new worker for that shift.


Notes and Tips

  • Emergency shifts appear in red and are typically higher priority.

  • Once you accept a shift, it will appear as Assigned on your dashboard.

  • Only your agency can approve or confirm cancellations after you’ve submitted a request.

  • Regularly checking the Available Shifts tab ensures you don’t miss last-minute opportunities.
